Stearns_CB_1_A.jpgStearns105 viewsDescription: Very rare OEM Stearns threaded hubcap grease cover for spoked artillery wheels. Made of very heavy cast and machined nonplated brass. The Stearns was built from 1899 to 1930 by the F.B. Stearns Co. in Cleveland, OH and was known as a prestige automobile. Assume this is from the brass era prior to 1916 but I do not know exact year, model, or application for this cap. Was told it might fit a 1910 Stearns Model 15 - 30 touring car

Dimension: 3 7/8" wide by 1 7/8" high, 3 3/8" threads

Dimension: measures approximately 3 1/2 INCHES AT THE BASE, 2 3/4 INCHES AT THE TOP, 1 3/4 INCHES TALL.

It comes in two sizes and I have always believed this to be a McLaughlin Buick. It is shown in Kuhn’s book and Jack Martells book as such. Attempting to resolve
